Hannah Silva (Grande Bretagne)


Hannah Silva, poète, performeuse et auteur dramatique britannique est née en 1983. Son travail sur langage, la voix peut évoquer les précurseurs de la poésie sonore phonatoire comme Henri Chopin. Ses recueils et pièces radiophoniques ou théâtrales ont reçu un excellent accueil critique. Elle travaille à un nouveau spectacle solo, Schlock !, mixant langage des signes et cut-up sonore de poèmes de Kathy Acker comme d’extraits de 50 nuances de Grey !
 
 
Hannah Silva (b.1983) is a British poet, playwright and performer known for her innovative explorations of language, form and voice. Her debut collection ’Forms of Protest’ was published by Penned in the Margins in 2013 (Highly Commended in the Forward Prizes). ’Marathon Tales’, co-written with Colin Teevan for BBC Radio 3 won the 2014 Tinniswood Award for Best Radio Drama Script. Her works for theatre include ’Opposition’, ’The Disappearance of Sadie Jones’ and ’Total Man’ (shortlisted for the 2014 Ted Hughes Award). She is currently making new solo show ’Schlock !’ - a cut up/sound based piece that incorporates British Sign Language and splices together texts by Kathy Acker with the novel ’Fifty Shades of Grey’. www.hannahsilva.co.uk
